Protecting Lone Workers
![]()
The HSE Lone workers case study shows that Good communication and sharing of information between employees, with external organisations and professional bodies where appropriate, was seen as essential. See the full summary of the case study here.
Unfortunately research shows that employees are not confident with measures in place for their protection. The Fit3 Employee Survey 2009 shows 33% of victims of violence in the work place do not report incidents with 14% believing management would not have done anything about it anyway. Alarmingly 23% of respondents said they know of no mechanism in place to protect them from violence or abuse in their working capacity. Supporting employees has a positive impact on loyalty to the business and their job and can reduce stress and sick days taken for stress, so it makes sense to put measures in place that promote your support of your lone workers. Check out the Code5 from SitexOrbis for more information on protecting your lone workers from just £1 a week. |
Return On Investment Analysis from Ipsos Reid
Turning 60 minutes of downtime every working day into 60 minutes of working time equates to the recovery of approximately 250 hours per year. That 250 hours is time spent doing more productive tasks for work.
Interestingly the report also showed that 71% of end users were able to estimate a recovery of 43 minutes personal time each day which is likely to lead to an improved quality of life, lower absenteeism and greater loyalty to the business. Other figures include: •38% increase in team efficiency with BlackBerry •An average of 5 time sensitive emails responded to every day while out of the office •Average Return on Investment pays back hardware and outlay costs before 154 days The statistics help show just how effective the BlackBerry Smartphone has become as a business tool. Support is key
Value For Money vs Low cost/Low quality -
At Aerial Telephones we demonstrate that Value for Money is far more beneficial to businesses than low cost, low quality solutions. ![]() We believe in face to face selling and strong customer relationships, and many of our customers have been with Aerial Telephones since we first opened our doors in 1986. We are a value for money supplier who works with businesses providing suitable and relevant solutions that obtain a Return on Investment but more importantly we provide the support to back this up, eliminating the perceived risks of taking on new technology, systems or suppliers. The support we provide our customers is key to the solutions we offer, not only to help our customers understand the solutions but to help us understand our customers. |

We owe a huge thank you to the Chamber for such a successful event that attracted over 150 attendees. Our New Business Team thoroughly enjoyed the event and can't wait for the next one.
